How Weels is different
At Weels, drivers aren't assigned work — you browse available delivery routes and claim the ones you want. Every route shows the area, stop count, estimated time, and exact payout before you commit. No surprises, no surge pricing — your base pay is guaranteed before you start. Tips from customers are a bonus on top.
Pay is based on estimated time. Finish a 3-hour route in 2 hours and you still earn the full payout — your effective hourly rate just went up. On top of that, customers can tip you directly after their delivery — and Weels never takes a cut.
Experienced drivers routinely earn $35–$45+ effective. Weekly payouts via Interac e-Transfer — instant deposits.
Routes are priced at $30/hr of estimated delivery time. If a route requires a return to the depot, you earn a return bonus at the same rate for the estimated drive back. Claim any available route — first come, first served.
When demand is high, certain routes get a boost — extra pay added on top of the base rate. Boosted routes are highlighted in the app so you can spot the highest-paying opportunities at a glance.
All buckets already claimed? Join one as a backup. If the primary driver can't fulfill their commitment, you get notified and offered the route. Backup drivers who reliably cover routes are fast-tracked to Preferred and Partner status.
From claiming a route to getting paid — here's the flow.
Delivery routes are published daily. Each bucket shows the area, stop count, estimated time, and exact payout. Buckets become available to claim at 11:30 AM — pick the ones that work for you, or join as a backup on a claimed route.
Arrive at our depot in Markham, Ontario (near Highway 7 & 407 on Woodbine) before noon. Scan each package out using the app's barcode scanner, load up, and begin your route by 12:30 PM.

Complete your route, return to the depot if required, and go off duty. Your payout appears in the app immediately. Funds are deposited weekly via Interac e-Transfer — instant to your bank. Customers can also tip you directly — 100% of every tip goes straight to your account.
Your tier is earned through reliability and performance. Higher tiers get earlier access to the best routes.
Every new driver starts at the Standard tier. After 4 weeks, you’ll go through a performance review. Meet our standards and you’ll be promoted to Preferred — unlocking more buckets, earlier route access, and higher earning potential. If there’s room to improve, you’ll be placed on a performance plan with clear goals and revisited shortly after.

What we expect
When you claim a route, you're committing to every delivery in it.
Customers receive ETAs. Stay on schedule and notify dispatch if you're running late.
Customers rate their driver after each delivery. Your rating drives your tier.
Simple requirements. Most drivers are on the road within 3–5 business days.
Independent Contractor
As an independent contractor, you’re operating your own delivery business. We pay your route earnings plus HST on top — the HST is paid to you as part of your invoice, and you remit it to the CRA. It’s never deducted from your base pay.
Self-employed individuals in Canada may be eligible to claim vehicle and business-related expenses. Many delivery drivers find this reduces their tax liability — consult a tax professional to understand what applies to your situation.
An HST number is required for contractors earning over $30,000. Don’t have one yet? Registration is free and takes about 5 minutes through the CRA. We’ll point you in the right direction during onboarding.
Eligibility and amounts vary by individual. See CRA business expenses or consult a tax professional.
Expense Tracker — Keep your records organized with a built-in tool to log expenses, track mileage, and store receipt photos. Export summaries anytime for tax filing or to share with a tax professional.
